
So far, the student has been presented with the following phonograms: a, b, s, f, m, t, h, j, n, p, l, r, g. Since the “d” is next in the scope and sequence, it is suggested that the student continue practicing the correct letter formation for the letter “b” while saying its corresponding sound /b/ sound since it’s often confused with the “d.” In addition, check the student’s fluency with a list of words in isolation that begin with “b” and end with “b.” The following words and nonsense syllables are fair, based on this scope and sequence: bat, bam, bag, ban, ab, tab, jab, nab, rab, gab.
